The
venture was started in a single tiny room
by Late Hakim (Vaidya)
Shri Hiralal D Mehta. Later, it started
as a small cottage industry in 1953 with a
sum of INR 500. He single handedly manufactured
and marketed his first product, Star skin
ointment which was meant to treat various
skin ailments. His sons joined hands to setup
a sacred mission of their father and to complete
his dream project, with unfading enthusiasm
and indomitable spirit. |

1st product "Star Malam": then &

| In 1953 it was
a humble beginning with the establishment
of Mehta Unani Pharmacy. Star Malam (ointment)
was our first product. |

In
1963, we launched "Amrutmanthan pain
balm", the first ever fully Ayurvedic
pain balm in India which relieves headaches,
cold & muscular pain. |

| In
1963, "Mehta Unani Pharmacy" turned
into a partnership firm as "Mehta Unani
Pharmacy & Co". It was then that
Shri Harkishan H Mehta, eldest son of Late
Hakim (Vaidya) Shri Hiralal D Mehta joined
the business. |
